10 Things You May Not Know About Me

1- I have a tattoo. This last January I had a lotus flower and blue butterfly tattooed on the right side of my lower back/hip. The Lotus flower starts out at the bottom of a muddy pond and makes its' way to the top of the water towards the light and blossoms into something more beautiful. It can mean many things but I put emphasis on the "new life" and "rebirth". Which can relate to my spiritual life as well as going through the struggles in my life. In the end, with God, I will make my way to the top of the pond and become something more beautiful through Him. The blue butterfly means "wish granter", simple as that.

2-I had perfect grades K-12. If I didn't receive an "A" on an assignment, I went into shock. I was a perfectionist and threw myself into my schoolwork. I graduated as Valedictorian, had a little over a 4.0 (details have left me) and scored a 29 on my ACT. Now I am happy with an "A" or "B" on my college assignments. I've learned that school is very important but there are many things in my life that I am focusing on. I do not have to be perfect. :)

3- Victoria's Secret is my weakness. Seriously. I love that store. Right now my obsession is the Angel Sleep Tees. They are so soft and I love 'em!

4- My husband and I met on Facebook through a mutual friend on January 1st, 2010. We met for the first time in person on January 30th, 2010. We fell madly in love and he proposed on May 6th, 2010. We then planned a backyard wedding and were married June 12, 2010. When you know, you know, and we knew.

5- I am enrolled in my 3rd college and I am a Junior. I first attended Washburn University in Topeka, KS, then I attended Garden City Community College in Garden  City, KS, and now I am currently taking classes from Fort Hays Virtual College. So far, it's my favorite....haha.

6- I have one younger sister who lives in Denver, CO. She is currently pursuing her modeling career. We are like black and white. Night and day. Spicy and sweet. In other words, we are complete opposites.

7- I absolutely love when falls rolls around in coffee shops for one reason. Pumpkin Spice. Yummy! I am actually planning on having one today down at our local coffee shop, Origins, when I go work on my homework. Jealous?

8-My husband and I are 9 years apart. It really doesn't feel like we are that far apart, until he turns the radio over to some 90's music that I believe should have never happened.

9- I don't iron. If it's wrinkled and needs fixed, I simply throw it in the dryer with a damp cloth and Ta Da!....I didn't have to break out the iron.

10- I am pretty thrifty or money concious. Example: My laptop is in horrible shape. (My husband and I are finally going to buy a new computer.) Instead of paying to have the hinges and everything else that has fallen apart, I used a pretty pink and green plaid duct tape. Yes, duct tape can fix everything. :)

  1. I knew all that yay for me!!!!!!!!! :) love you

  2. You are one of the lucky few....well now anyone can know. :) Love you too!
