A New Source of Soreness

I promise I haven't dropped off the face of the earth.
I haven't had any time for crafts.
I haven't had any time for many things since we've been home from Spring Break vacation.

I took a job.

At 32 weeks pregnant, I am now working part time while still working on my classes as a full time student.
It does feel like a lot to take on especially since this baby boy will be here in less than 8 weeks, but so far, so good.

I now work for 5 1/2 hours in the afternoon at a daycare, Monday through Friday.
It is tiring work, especially since I haven't had a job in a long time.

Last night I came home after working in the nursery for most of the afternoon and my arms felt like they were going to fall off.
I didn't even think about how sore I would be from rocking babies to sleep.

But God is good. He provided me this job for many reasons.

1) I get to socialize with children and other adults every day.

2) I get to experience young children at different ages (and get back into the practice of changing diapers) before our little one arrives.

3) The extra income is nice. Babies are expensive and it will be nice to have extra money for the next 7-8 weeks to be able to use for the baby and for a few things we have been wanting ourselves without using our "normal income".

4) The time may go a little bit quicker so it will feel like my baby boy is here sooner. I am so excited to meet him, hold him, love him, and care for him.

I am a little out of my element because I've never worked at a day care before, but in only working two days I am starting to feel a little more comfortable with the duties I am suppose to do daily. Hopefully soon it will be my comfort zone.

So this married, pregnant, college student is now a working woman as well. At least until the baby is here and then I take on a whole different kind of day care all by myself. :)
