A Challenge for Myself

I’ve decided to challenge myself.

There is one thing that eats up a lot of my time. Online shopping on deal sites.

Even though most of the time I just window browse at the beautiful things that are available out there for amazing deals, sometimes I cave and buy something. Not that there is anything wrong with that either.

However lately my online shopping on deal sites have been eating up my precious time I have when my son is sleeping and eating up part of my wallet as well.

So here is my challenge.

I’m not looking a deal sites for a little over two entire weeks. Yikes! Can I do it? I am sure that with the right motivation, yes I can.

I am not looking at deal sites or spending money, besides on groceries, diapers, and formula. I’m putting myself not only on a spending freeze, but on a window shopping freeze.

I am not going to lie. This is going to be hard for me. A real challenge.

I’m not proud that it is a hard challenge either. It should be easy to give up window shopping. It should be easy to go on a spending freeze when really all I need is right here in my own home.

I want to see if I can do this. I am going to have to keep myself accountable.

I think I can. I think I can. I think I can.

  1. You can do it! I've been trying to shop less myself. You may already do this, but I've heard people say that if you pay for things with cash and don't use a check card or credit card you will spend less. Physically seeing the cash leave your purse will make you not want to spend it. I haven't tried this yet myself. With everything being direct deposited, I never carry cash. Good luck!
