April ipsy Review

April's ipsy bag was full different choices in everyone's bag. I was extremely excited when I opened up my Glam Room to see what was in my bag.

1) Rainbow Honey Nail Polish in Midnight Fountain. Retails for $10. I wasn't thrilled to receive this in my bag because I've said no nail polishes in all of my ipsy quizzes/reviews. I never receive colors that I like so I may see if I can trade this off for something else I'd rather use. It is a cute little polish though.

2) Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil Travel Size. Estimated retail of $6.50. All I can say is yay!!!! for this one. I have never had Urban Decay and this little liner does not disappoint. Love!

3) Demeter Jasmine Perfume Oil Roll On. Retails for $10. There were a lot of complaints that this smells too "grandmotherish" but I love it. I'm big into the look of florals and also the smell. It's very faint and perfect for every day use for me. I don't like overly strong scents. I've walked through enough of other women's perfume bubbles to know that subtle is much more appealing to me. I love that it's a roll on too.

4) Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion 7.5 grams. Estimated retail of $9.75 I haven't tried this yet but I was pleasantly surprised to receive this in my bag. I am always game for a new face product and I hope to see some great results with this one.

5) Mary Kay At Play Jelly Lip Gloss in Teddy Bare. Retails for $10. I was crossing my fingers for the nude color because I have received so many reds and pinks from ipsy that I just wanted something neutral. I was so happy when I received the Teddy Bare color however it is extremely sticky. It's a lip gloss I'm afraid to put on when it is too windy (I live in Kansas. It's windy every day.) or if my husband is around because I'd like to kiss him. The color is perfect for me for a nude, but it is incredibly sticky.

Total value of my April glam bag: $46.25

Overall the value of this bag was great and 4 out of 5 items (I'll probably wear the gloss around the house when my husband isn't home) that I will use isn't too bad.

If you'd like to try out ipsy sign up here.

And did I mention it's only $10 a month shipped?

  1. I can't wait to see what I get! There were lots of options this month, but I'm tired of nail polish as well.

    1. There were a ton. I was a little nervous to see what I was going to get, but overall I was extremely happy. The nail polishes haven't been great lately. I think the colors just aren't on for trends. But maybe that's just me!
